> Dial El Barrio

Dial El Barrio is a project conceived by Stephanie Owens and developed by MFA students at Parsons School of Design that uses a location-based, wireless network to create an embedded documentary in the streets of Spanish Harlem. In an effort to preserve the neighborhood’s rich legacy, DIALelbarrio is creating a cell-phone accessible ‘media cloud’ over the neighborhood to highlight its role as the center of Latin life in New York City.
